Emel Tokkal’s daughter Beyzanur Kayaalp, who lives in Izmir and is married to İlkay Tokkal for the second time, asked the police for help when she was unable to reach her mother by phone last Tuesday.
According to the DHA news, the police teams went to the İlkay-Emel Tokkal couple’s house, which had phone shops, on the fifth floor of an apartment building on Deliklitaş Mahallesi Hamamyolu street, Odunpazari district, where they recently moved. . İlkay Tokkal (42), his wife Emel Tokkal (41) and their 4-year-old son Ali Doruk were found stabbed to death in the house after the door was closed. It was determined that İlkay Tokkal was stabbed 7 times and Emel Tokkal and Doruk 3 times.

On the basis of this information, the police teams arrested Buğra Can Tokkal, the 19-year-old son of İlkay Tokkay’s first wife, and his former employee Mehmet Şerif B. and his neighbor Ersin D.
An additional period of prosecution detention was withdrawn for 3 suspects whose interrogations were continuing.
FORMER EMPLOYEE’S WIFE IS ALSO DETAINED
Police teams, which continued the investigation in a multifaceted manner, detained 7 more suspects, 2 of them women, in connection with the killings. One of the women was known to be Gift B., the wife of Mehmet Şerif B., a former employee of İlkay Tokkal. The other suspects arrested were noted to be a woman named Hülya Y., İlker K., Zeki O., Hakkı B. and Fesih Y.
