“Tonight (February 15) a meeting was held at the Ministry of National Defense with the United States Ambassador in Ankara, David Satterfield. At the meeting, the United States Ambassador Satterfield expressed his condolences to our personnel who were martyred in the operation against Gara and 13 citizens who were martyred by the PKK terrorist organization during the operation. He confirmed that they hold the PKK terrorist organization responsible for the Gara massacre. “
Meanwhile, the US ambassador to Turkey, David Satterfield, had been summoned to the Foreign Office.
BLINKEN HOLDING THE PKK RESPONSIBLE
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken conveyed his condolences to 13 Turkish nationals who were martyred in his meeting with Minister Çavuşoğlu in the evening and declared that the PKK was responsible for the Gara massacre.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price made a statement that sparked backlash after the PKK killed 13 unarmed Turkish citizens in Gara. Price said: “If the news that Turkish citizens were killed by the terrorist organization PKK is true, we strongly condemn this act.”
