The appeal made by the young footballer and Galatasaray to the UCK decision was made by videoconference under the administration of the Refereeing Board, in a session attended by representatives of both Galatasaray, Çaykur Rizespor and Oğulcan Çağlayan.
After the Refereeing Commission, a letter was addressed to the Professional Footballers Registration Office and it was decided to request a copy of the correspondence from the accused footballer regarding the discharge process in the present case and examine the file. After the investigation, the Arbitration Board reduced the sanction from 6 games to 3 games, and decided that the young player will pay 1 million 200 thousand euros and 500 thousand lire to Çaykur Rizespor.
GALATASARAY WILL OBJECT
Galatasaray Club, on the other hand, will appeal the decision of the Refereeing Board to Oğulcan Çağlayan and, if necessary, take the matter to UEFA to protect the player’s rights. It was also indicated that if a favorable decision is not made, the Galatasaray Club will help Oğulcan with the payment and share the judgment.
