The indictment reported that the defendant Necdet Karakuş, who got off the bus after the accident, injured some people with his knife and jumped into the sea. In the indictment, which said the crime scene was in front of Sinanpaşa Mahallesi, Beşiktaş Street, Bahçeşehir University bus stop, it was said that there was a brake track 15.5 meters from the front wheel of the bus. In his statement to the police and the investigating judge, Karakuş, who was arrested on November 4, 2019, claimed that he had used drugs the night before the incident, did not recall whether he had stepped on the brakes during the incident and that he deliberately and voluntarily he interrupted the bus cameras. In the defendant’s statement, it was also included in the indictment that he said he deliberately drove the bus against the crowd.
