The Afghan Ministry of Culture announced at the press conference that the priceless Bactrian ancient treasure consisting of 21,145 pieces of pure gold will be on display in the Afghan Presidential Palace.
The ministry claimed that the treasure is worth billions of dollars due to its past and that it will soon be shipped for display abroad. Baktrian’s gold collection has been exhibited in 29 museums in 13 countries over the past 13 years, generating Afghanistan more than $ 4.5 million in revenue.

The Baktrian treasure, which is among the world’s largest gold treasures in Afghanistan, was discovered forty years ago in the Tela Tapa region of the Sheberghan district in the northern province of Cevizcan, and in addition to the gold, archaeologists found 7 bodies with the treasure.
There are 21,114 pieces of ancient artifacts made of pure gold in the Bactrian hoard.
