51 people arrested due to protests at Boğaziçi University were transferred to court after their actions at the police station.

The Istanbul Prosecutor General’s Office demanded the arrest of 30 and the house arrest of 12 students, who were detained in front of the Rectorate of Boğaziçi University. All of the Boğaziçi students, who were sent to arrest, were released.

On the other hand, in the statement made by the Attorney General’s Office, it was noted that 51 people were arrested for the crimes “deprivation of liberty, damage to public property and opposition to Law No. 2911.”

FIRST EXPLANATION OF THE EXCLUDED STUDENTS

The students who were released on the condition of judicial control said in their first statement: “We want our friends to be released immediately. Our fight will continue until the persecution of the administrator ends.”

On the other hand, the Boğaziçi students, who oppose the decision to send them to arrest, protest against the decision by stealing pots and pans.

LAWYER SOLIDARITY: A LAWYER PUSHED INTO THE ENTRANCE OF THE COURT HALL

While Lawyer Solidarity announced that a colleague was pushed into the entrance of the courtroom, the following statements were used in the shared message:

“A colleague was pushed by an unidentified person, they are trying to get that person out the back door of the court while asking for identification. The person is trying to be kidnapped from there because we want a report on this person.”

The lawyers were reported to have kept a report on the matter.

BOSPHORUS STUDENT SUPPORT BEFORE JURISDICTION

51 students detained at Boğaziçi University on February 1 were taken to the Çağlayan Palace of Justice. His friends made a press release in front of the court.

The statement made by the students of Boğaziçi is as follows:

On Monday, February 1, 51 students were detained inside our school. In two days, this number reached about 350. Today, we are in front of the Çağlayan Palace of Justice for our detained friends. We do not shut up, we are not afraid, we do not give up!

The appointment of Melih Bulu as administrator of Boğaziçi University is another example of the state of emergency practices that we have been living in for years.

Today, police attacks are being carried out against our non-violent actions.

108 of our friends who were walking towards the South Gate were arrested for police violence, saying “Look down”, without any justification.

We were not allowed to leave the school, which was turned into an open prison by the designated administrator for our university, and we were locked inside the school.

Hundreds of police officers interfered in our protest, which we continued democratically, without violence in South Square, by the trustee, and 51 of our friends were subjected to violence and detained despite their lack of resistance.

The LGBTI + studies club, which operates in our school, was closed by trustee Melih Bulu as a result of lynching and targeting campaigns initiated with the support of political power.

On the other hand, our solidarity action, which was scheduled for yesterday in Kadıköy, was blocked from the school, our friends were forcibly taken from the bus and detained. In Kadıköy, hundreds of people were subjected to disproportionate police violence.

Our university has been blocked with barricades, TOMA, Scorpions and long-barreled weapons since the first day of this appointment. For a month, all the components of the university continue with their stubborn solidarity against this anarchy and police violence. Our demand from the beginning of our university not only in private, everything equitable in Turkey, democratic, free and was aimed at an autonomous university system. This is precisely why the good business patrons assigned to different parts of Turkey can be generating solidarity with everyone.

Despite all the attacks, targeting, coercion and bullying, we always said the same thing: We don’t accept, we don’t give up! Wives at the door of our university, the raid on our houses at midnight, the illegal detentions and arrests did not deter us or deter us. We are back together here despite separation efforts and club closures. We will never bow down! We call from a just and honorable place that the powerful cannot even dream of. Once again, we repeat our demands:

– All our detained and arrested friends must be released immediately!

– The police army that blocked our university must withdraw!

– All Trustees, especially Melih Bulu, must resign immediately!

– The elections of rectors must be made with the participation of all the components of the universities!

We will not look down!

THE WAIT CONTINUES IN JUDICIAL

The wait continues in court for the release of those detained in the Boğaziçi resistance. There are also MPs from the Republican People’s Party Ali Şeker, Mahmut Tanal, Sezgin Tanrıkılu, Mahmut Tanal, Turan Aydoğan and the independent MP Ahmet Şık among those who continue their wait at the Çağlayan Courthouse, where a large number of citizens are.

‘STATEMENTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED FROM 15 STUDENTS, THE PROCEDURES OF OTHERS CONTINUE’

When making a statement on the matter, CHP MP Ali Şeker, statements were taken from 15 students, statements are still being taken from other students. 9 prosecutors continue to take statements. One of the accusations is the lowering of the tires of Melih Bulu’s official vehicle! It is illegal to keep so many young people in custody on these hilarious charges. We support young people who exercise their democratic rights. Melih bulu should resign immediately. “

TANAL: DECLARE TO PEOPLE GUILDERS IS A CRIME

CHP Deputy Mahmut Tanal, who was standing in front of the Çağlayan Palace of Justice, also made statements about the situation of the detainees. Tanal said: “There are allegations that the detained students were not given food.”

Tanal continued as follows:

“Article 38 of our Constitution says that everyone is innocent until a conviction is passed. Whether you are president, minister or deputy, you cannot waive the presumption of innocence, including extraordinary status, in accordance with article 38 of the Constitution until a conviction is issued It is a crime to declare criminal.

In fact, while the Minister of the Interior is the country’s ministry that must minimize problems; it has become a ministry that occupies the increasing public opinion, making problems more and more chaotic. We demand that Soylu abandon this attitude “
