The teams captured and detained Hayrettin K. and Fikret K. as murder suspects. The suspects, who were questioned by teams from the Homicide Bureau, said they were at the vineyard house to drink alcohol the night of the incident. While they drank alcohol together, it was determined that Hayrettin K. mistook the chicken feed in the bag for wood chips and threw it on the stove, thereby beating Ergani to death in the fight.
