Turkey continues with shipments of the coronavirus vaccine purchased from China. The second part of the 10 million doses of vaccine shipments were also brought to Turkey this morning. The vaccines, which were brought to Istanbul airport at 06:00 with Turkish Airlines flight TK 6175 with the aircraft number Boeing 777-ER type ‘Zigana’, were meticulously unloaded from the plane by officials. Inactive vaccines unloaded from aircraft in active temperature-controlled containers were taken to warehouses for customs clearance.

The first batch of 3 million doses of vaccine ordered from China arrived in Turkey on December 30, 2020, and on January 14 began inoculating healthcare workers. 6.5 million doses of the first part of the second shipment of 10 million doses of inactivated vaccine were brought to Turkey on the morning of January 25.
The first part of the second shipment of 10 million doses of inactivated vaccines arrived last weekend. Starting this morning, the second part will have arrived in our country. The shipment of vaccines will continue according to the procurement schedule.
