Selçuk Özdağ, vice chairman of the Future Party, and journalists Afşin Hatipoğlu and Orhan Ugüroğlu were attacked in Ankara.
MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, in a statement he made about the attacks, claimed that they themselves organized the attacks so that they came to light. He argued that the gun and stick attack on Selçuk Özdağ without giving his name was also a staging.
Selçuk Özdağ responded to Bahçeli with harsh words in a statement he made on his Twitter account. Özdag’s statements are as follows:
“It has been almost two weeks since my recent attempted murder with bats. Subsequently, almost all state and political institutions showed great sensitivity on the subject. I thank you all this time.
Since the attack, I have not made any statements about the perpetrators of a political party. Again, as always, I asked a few questions to clear up some dark points.
In this process, we have always seen that some people are disturbed by our questions and by the prosecution of the attack by the judiciary. The identities of those who threatened the prosecutors conducting the investigation in an organized manner, who affirmed the attack and even said it will continue.
There are many madmen from the curtain above who actually instruct someone not to “wait for instructions” by saying they don’t expect instructions, they think they are too clever or that we are too naive. It is known who are those who direct the habitual doubts about themselves when saying all this.
As a result of the blows I received to my head from the attack, which is undoubtedly an attempted political assassination, they placed 17 points on me, they broke my finger, I lost sensation in eyes and ears, left my legs without bruises, but according to dear statesmen, I had done it myself.
It may be an option not to publicly condemn the attack. In fact, your managers may not like me. So, should individual attitudes and institutional identities be built on a curtain, in the style of a long-standing political movement?
Why are we to blame for the concentration of doubts on you according to the normal course of life because of these statements and attitudes? What kind of effort have you made to keep these doubts free from you?
I advise Mr. Bahçeli not to get too caught up in the Valle de los Lobos scenery and Hollywood-style attractions.
Such constructions free of reason and logic can only be the script of a movie. We are not filming, teachers. It is not our job to set calibrators and desise. Also, what is the origin of your claims? Why don’t you want justice to do its job, for everything to be revealed?
