The president of the United States, Donald Trump, whose term expires today, said goodbye with a video of about 20 minutes that he prepared.
Trump, stating that a new administration will take over, said: “A new administration will take office this week. I wish you success in keeping America safe and prosperous. We wish you well and wish you luck.”
Trump said the attack on the Congress building by his supporters on January 6 “terrorized” the entire population and said that this incident would not be tolerated in any way.
“As we prepare to hand the job over to the new administration at noon on Wednesday, I want you to know that our movement is just beginning,” Trump said.
