In this context, teams from the Seyhan District Police Department filed requests in many parts of the district. During the day-long controls, 56 people who did not comply with the curfew and the mask rule were fined.
The police teams inspecting Melek Girmez Sokak arrested Süreyya G. and Meltem T., who were shopping and determined not to wear masks. Sureyya G. told reporters who saw him at the time: “Don’t be shy, my husband will divorce me.” Süreyya G. and Meltem T. were fined 3,150 lira for violating the mask rule.
‘I was drinking tea’
Wandering without a mask, Ahmet U. tried to enter the street when he saw the police, but was unable to escape. Ahmet U., who was fined 3,150 lira, claimed that he took off his mask to drink tea and said: “I was inside at that time. Then the penalty for leaving without a mask was prescribed. I regret.
