Erkan Cinbir, who has been a merchant in the Çaycuma district for 13 years, argued with the police when he brought a customer inside with a letter saying that there is no obligation to wear a mask at work.

When Cinbir went out without a mask, the police teams took him to the police station. The merchants were convicted for the 24th time. This time, Cinbir was sentenced to close his workplace for 15 days for failing to comply with the circular.
Teams affiliated with the Çaycuma municipality wanted to come to Cinbir’s workplace and carry out the temporary closure. There was a short-term discussion between the officers and Cinbir, who wanted to ask the Çaycuma district governor about the penalty for closing the workplace without wearing a mask.
After meeting with the district governor after some time, Cinbir returned to the workplace after reminding him that the procedure was carried out in accordance with the circular issued by the Ministry of the Interior.
Cinbir said: “The circular does not oblige us, we continue to fulfill our promise. In this context, the Çaycuma district government sent a 15-day closure letter to the municipality. When we went to ask about this in the morning, they took us out. We went to the governor to follow this up. We met with the governor. He said he had to implement the circular from the Ministry of the Interior.
He said that we should also follow the circulars. I told him that I have 2 children and people who work with me. We said that we had no income or bread for 15 days. We expected something from them in this regard. We are never satisfied with this job. There is no form of government that is hostile to its own people. I will never back down on this case. I will uphold my constitutional right until the end. This letter was notified to us by the municipal teams. If the district governor does not forward this letter, how will the municipality know? We will examine the legal legislation and begin the legal proceedings. ” The merchant’s workplace was temporarily closed for 15 days.
