When the COVID-19 vaccine caused a huge public reaction among some famous and political figures in Poland, although they were not in the order of priority, an investigation was launched into the incident.
According to the regulation, in Poland, which started its vaccination campaign on December 27, like most European countries, the vaccine must be administered mainly to healthcare professionals and their families. Before all health officials were vaccinated, the country’s press reported that a well-known group of 18 such as singer, actor and television host, including MP and former Prime Minister Leszek Miller, were vaccinated.
The incident emerged on December 30, when former Prime Minister Miller shared the hospital’s vaccination document on his social media account.

According to the news in Deutsche Welle Turco, the Warsaw Medical University Hospital, where the incident occurred, announced that they had 450 doses of vaccine, 300 of them were given to their employees and 132 to the families of employees. The hospital indicated that the remaining 18 vaccines were delivered to people known as ‘vaccine ambassadors’ to support the vaccination campaign in the country.
Government spokesman Piotr Muller said Monday that an investigation into the incident was launched and said: “I hope the culprits will be punished as soon as possible.”

It was previously revealed that some local administrators of the Law and Justice Party, who were in power in Poland, were also vaccinated before health workers. “Following the rules of the vaccination process is an expression of respect for the rules of social solidarity,” Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki described on Saturday, describing the incident as “a real scandal.” “There cannot be a legitimate reason to break the rules,” he said.
The BionTech vaccines to be used by Poland arrived in the country on December 26. Afterwards, health workers, teachers and military personnel are scheduled to be vaccinated at the end of the month. Subsequently, the vaccination of the rest of the 38 million countries will begin.
The government official responsible for the vaccination process, Michal Dworczyk, announced that 50,000 people have been vaccinated so far and 2.9 million people are expected to be vaccinated in the first three months of the year.
