The Washington Post, one of America’s most respected newspapers, captured an audio recording of a Saturday phone call between US leader Donald Trump and Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.
In one episode of the extraordinary hour-long audio recording, Trump chides Raffensperger for not saying he won the Georgia election.
In the records, Trump says: “The people of Georgia are angry, the people of the country are angry. You know, there is no mistake in saying this, you calculated it again. Raffensperger says,” Mr. President, your difficulty is that the data that has are incorrect. “
Elsewhere in the speech, Trump says, “Look. This is what I want to do. I want to get 11,780 votes. Because we won the state.”
At one point, Raffensperger responded to Trump, who said, “You have to ask for a flawless election. You are a Republican.” Trump then responds, “No, he didn’t. He lost hundreds of thousands of votes.”
