International drug lord Orhan Ünğan was arrested at the airport. It was learned that Ünğan was arrested on the grounds that he planned to escape to Antalya and from there on New Year’s Eve. In searches carried out on Ünğan, a false identity issued in the name of MT was found.

Orhan Ünğan was arrested for the murder of Arzu Şerif Zindaşti, daughter of Iranian drug lord Naci Şerif Zinsaşti, and her nephew Devrim Öztunç in a cross-shot in 2014 in Büyükçekmece. Ünğan, who was caught as the “instigator” of the attack, was acquitted of the case, but was unable to leave prison due to a different investigation carried out by the Bolu 13 High Criminal Court.
