Approximately 500 doses of the new type of coronavirus vaccine (Kovid-19) were found out of the freezer at Aurora Medical Center in Wisconsin, USA.
Thinking that the vaccines were taken out of the refrigerator to prepare them, health workers vaccinated 57 people with these doses. It was later revealed that the vaccines had been abroad for too long to lose their effectiveness.
The pharmacist, who took the vaccines out of the refrigerator, was fired and the pharmacist, accused of sabotage, was arrested. It was stated that the pharmacist would be tried for the crimes of attempting against public safety, mixing a prescription drug and damaging property.
On Wednesday, hospital officials said there was no data that the pharmacist sabotaged the vaccines and found that the vaccines were only removed from the refrigerator.
The remaining 500 doses of vaccine were destroyed. The hospital’s chief physician said the pharmacist did not interfere with the vaccines other than taking them out of the refrigerator.
