First, the pallets are opened by medical personnel trained in the “cold chain”. At this stage, the temperature recorders on each pallet are read. Electronic freeze indicators and temperature control cards showing exposure to heat are monitored on each package. The vaccines are placed in their storage location after ensuring that they are delivered in accordance with the proper transportation rules.
Then, by a separate commission, the basic quality documents are examined and random samples are taken for analysis.
Vaccine samples, the Turkish Pharmaceutical Products and Medical Devices Agency Laboratory (TİTCK) in the analysis process will be subject to a minimum of 2 weeks. During this time, the vaccines will be stored in special warehouses that will be kept at 2-8 degrees. Vaccines will be available if deemed appropriate as a result of the analysis.
There are temperature control systems, generators and backup systems in the Main Public Health Warehouses where the vaccines will be kept. The vaccines will be distributed to provincial warehouses with specially designed vehicles with air conditioning features after the necessary analysis.
