The incident occurred in the morning in the Bostanbaşı district. An argument broke out between Mehmet Taş and his wife Selda Taş for an unknown reason. During the argument, Mehmet Taş shot his wife in the head with a pistol. As Selda Taş fell to the ground in blood, people around her called the police after the shooting.
Police and medical teams were sent home after notification. Selda Taş, who was taken to the Malatya Research and Training Hospital after her first intervention, died despite the efforts of doctors. Koca Mehmet Taş, on the other hand, was detained by police teams.
It emerged that Mehmet Taş, who was questioned at the police headquarters and had some drugs, was a drug addict and had a large number of criminal records.
Three children of the couple, whose mothers were killed in front of their eyes, told police that their parents were constantly using drugs, saying: “Our father used to use drugs. My father was constantly fighting with my mother on suspicion of cheating on him.”
