Aylin Sözer, faculty member, victim of brutal murder

In Istanbul, a person named Kemal Delbe cut his neck, Aylin Sözer (48), who was allegedly his former lover, then poured a flammable substance on him and set him on fire. The lecturer was burned to death.

The incident occurred around 12:30 pm in the Maltepe district. Unable to listen to Aylin Sözer, a professor at a private university, her brothers reported the situation to police teams.

Police teams, who went to the house where Sözer lived, soon realized that someone was inside. Teams knocked on the door but no one opened it.

Seeing the police coming, the suspect Kemal Delbe crowded in front of the door. Then the locksmith called by the teams opened the door. Upon seeing that the fire broke out in the apartment, the police reported the situation to the fire brigade.

Killer BOSS ALSO ATTACKED THE POLICE

The police, who entered, saw Delbe and Aylin Sözer lying on the ground. Delbe attacked the policemen who wanted to stop her and wanted to pour a flammable liquid on them. A police officer was injured in the hand in the fight.

Gold and flammable liquid belonging to Sözer were found in the search of the suspect’s body. While some police officers were affected by the smoke, suspect Delbe was arrested.

When Kemal Delbe was arrested, the people around him tried to lynch him. Aylin Sözer’s brother suffered a nervous breakdown at the scene.

Investigations revealed that Kemal Delbe borrowed money from Aylin Sözer and went to Sözer’s house last night.

After the crime scene and the prosecutor’s investigation of the house, Aylin Sözer’s body will be sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
