After the last cabinet meeting of the year, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had the following to say regarding the transition to the face-to-face education period:

We are carefully reviewing containment measures in line with the steady decline in the number of cases. I hope that our citizens strictly respect the rules of cleanliness, masks and distance, which we express as acceptable. We have seen that developments are encouraging. We are extending the recess we give to face-to-face education in our schools until February 15, 2021.

MINISTER ZIYA SELÇUK HAS ALSO ANNOUNCED

National Education Minister Ziya Selçuk said on December 25 that no exams were held in the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, and the remaining exams for this period were planned considering the course of the epidemic. He said he had decided to postpone it for later.
