Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Juventus of Italy, was awarded as the best soccer player of the 21st century.
The 2020 Global Soccer Awards, determined by the votes of fans around the world with a 23-person jury, including former soccer players and coaches, found their owners at the ceremony held in Dubai.
The Portuguese star of Juventus, Ronaldo, won the award for “footballer of the century”, beating Lionel Messi, Mohammed Salah and Ronaldinho.
In the organization, Real Madrid of Spain, “team of the century”, the Spanish coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, was awarded the “coach of the century” award.
The “Team of the Year” award went to Bayern Munich, German team striker Robert Lewandowski was named “Footballer of the Year” and his coach Hans-Dieter Flick was named “Coach of the Year”.
The “career award” was presented to former Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Barcelona footballer Gerard Piqué at the ceremony.
