Engin Nurşani has been receiving treatment for throat cancer for a while.

WHO IS ENGİN NURŞANİ?
Engin Nurşani was born on January 9, 1984 in the city of Krefeld. He was born as the youngest of the two children to his Turkish father, the poet Aşık Ali Nurşani (born Ali Ayhan, February 2, 1959) and his German mother Angelika Ayhan, who emigrated from Gaziantep to West Germany. He had received musical education from his father since he was young and participated in concerts with him. Nurşani, who loves music very much, wanted to be a folk poet like his father, but his father wanted his son to choose a better profession and he opposed this decision.
In early 2003, Engin, without knowing his father, began his professional music career when he came to Istanbul to release his first album, I Have A Scratch On His Name. His father began supporting his son realizing that he would be successful when he saw his love for music. In an interview he gave, Ali Nurşani said that the reason for his objection was that he did not want it to happen to Engin because of the disloyalty he saw in the world of music.
