Health Minister Fahrettin Koca made the following statements on his social media account regarding the hot development:

I told you yesterday that the BIONTECH vaccine agreement is about to be signed. The contract was signed at 04:30 tonight. According to the agreement made, Prof. DR. The dose announced by our teacher Uğur Şahin is 550,000 doses.
“4.5 MILLION DOSES WILL BE DELIVERED UNTIL THE END OF MARCH”
Of this amount until the end of the year is expected to arrive in Turkey in early January. However, 4.5 million doses of vaccine will be delivered to our country at the end of March. Under our agreement, up to 30 million doses of vaccine will be available under the same conditions with the agreement of the parties.

The delay was due to the manufacturer’s unwillingness to accept responsibility for problems that may arise from the production of the vaccine.
