According to the statement from the Ministry of the Interior, the regulation will enter into force from July 1, 2021.
According to the regulation, sanitary workplaces and public places of recreation and entertainment may provide this service either by themselves or by the valet companies with which they have contracted. Valet service will be included in the workplace license as an ancillary activity. Businesses that do not operate valet services for your license will not be able to offer this service.
Valet parking must be provided within a maximum radius of 3 kilometers. The valet service rate cannot exceed the price rate determined by the corresponding chamber in the framework of the legislation, depending on the commercial or commercial capacity of the operator.
Businesses that receive valet service will be required to show a space in the parking area to be rented or owned by the company that provides this service. The client will not be obliged to receive valet service. At valet points, a sign stating that valet service is not required will be posted for all to see.
Businesses that have parking spaces on their own lots will use directional signs to direct the driver to the free parking areas. Security cameras will be mandatory in parking areas used under valet service.
Private areas will not be reserved for valet service in free parking areas, on roads and public areas.
A contract will be drawn up regarding valet services between the valet establishment and the workplace, including the name, address of the person or organization to be served, scope of service, number of staff, duration service and other matters.
The information of the valet officers employed will be reported to the authorized administration and police units within 15 days. Valet attendants will wear a badge around their neck and wear a valet outfit during their service.
Valet parking companies will be required to purchase a “Valet / Garage Insurance Policy” and a “Third Party Financial Liability Insurance Policy”. Businesses and places of work that provide valet service will deliver the vehicle with a receipt. It will cover vehicle damage, traffic tickets, and vehicle towing fees that occur during the service period.
CONDITIONS TO SEARCH IN OFFICIAL VALUE
The valet attendant will have the driver’s license in the class corresponding to the type of vehicle to be used, and a certificate of professional competence will be available after January 1, 2023.
Those convicted of crimes against state security and constitutional order, theft, drugs and sexual assault, and those who have been prosecuted for these crimes will not be able to become official valet officers.
Also, people who have been deliberately involved in a fatal traffic accident in the last 5 years, who have used drugs or stimulants or are driving under alcohol, and whose driver’s license has been withdrawn more than once or permanently canceled for violating speeding rules, may not become assistance agents.
Valet parking companies will be regularly inspected by a commission made up of the governorate or district governors of the authorized administration, the police, the gendarmerie, the driver’s chamber and representatives of NGOs operating in the field of valet parking.
Valet parking companies that act against the regulations will be processed within the framework of the relevant provisions of the Law on Highway Traffic, articles 22 and 32 of the Law of Absences, additional article 3 of the Regulation of Business Opening and Licenses of Labor and the provisions of the Municipal Police Regulations.
