President Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the opening ceremony of the Tunceli Museum, the Konya Akşehir Museum of Stone Artifacts and the Turkish Islamic Museum in Bursa, which were completed via video conference.
Erdogan said that in Tunceli, they established the city’s first museum in the history of the Republic in the old building of the military barracks.
Erdoğan noted that works reflecting the rich history of Tunceli will be exhibited in this building with its courtyard suitable for concert and theater events, Erdoğan stated that the museum was brought to life with an investment of approximately TL 38 million and said: “ Tunceli, which is among the provinces with the greatest tourist potential in our country, takes a great step forward with the establishment of a climate of peace and security. is on the brink. “Our goal is to make Tunceli one of the tourist centers of our country with the opening of this museum, which reflects its historical wealth and fascinating natural beauty.”
“THE COST HAS FOUND 7 MILLION 600 THOUSAND LIRA”
Expressing that they opened the building known as Yeşil Medrese or Sultaniye Madrasa, one of the first Ottoman madrasas in Bursa, such as the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, said President Erdoğan;
“In our museum in this building, which has a history of about 600 years, there are many tiles, ceramics, wood, carved and inlaid works, metal works such as tombac, coins and clothing belonging to the Seljuk, Principality and Ottoman periods. The cost of this museum, whose restoration took 3 years, reached 7 million 600 thousand lire. I hope that our museum, which I believe will be among the symbols of this ancient city, where the Ottoman Empire was founded, one of the largest states in history, on three continents and 7 climates, is beneficial for our country. “
Claiming that they have built a major museum in Konya’s Akşehir district, President Erdoğan stated that the Akşehir Stone Works Museum is a huge historical treasure from the Seljuk period, consisting of a madrasa, mausoleum, imaret, fountain and which once served like Darüşşifa. .
Erdogan said: “In this stone madrasah, tombstones, sarcophagi, inscriptions and other stone artifacts discovered in and around Akşehir are also on display. “We used more than 5 million lire to bring this museum, which contains hundreds of artifacts, to Akşehir.”
“CONSCIOUSLY DAMAGED”
Turkey submitted the beauty and history that came to the world as a son of this land, and when everyone sought the honor of serving this nation, Erdogan said that praise be to Allaah, he gave the following messages;
* Of course, it is so important to have these beauties, know the value of them, protect them, add them and leave greater wealth for the future. Turkey, unfortunately, with a period of history, with civilization, continued to be infested with a fascist mentality that made special efforts to break the ties of culture.
* Our cities, built by ancestors with a thousand efforts, our values of civilization of thousands of years have been deliberately destroyed. The destruction caused by this mindset not only hurt the bones of the ancestors, but also caused the disconnect between generations.
* Our country has wasted its golden years and opportunities that will lead our nation to peace and wealth for its efforts to raise generations who are unaware of its history, who are alien to its culture, and who indulge in its values.
* For this reason, while we develop our country with the investments we have made and the projects we have implemented, on the other hand, we have protected our civilization. Beyond making up for the shortcomings of the past, we work day and night to build a new future for our nation with the bridge we build from the past to the present.
“WE WILL NOT SQUARE”
Calling attention to a situation that he always regretted, said President Erdogan;
* It saddens me to see that while our governments made great contributions to democracy and the development of our country, we could not make the same distance in our civilization and cultural cause. Of course, I know that in addition to our own negligence, the difficulties caused by the great communications revolution in the world are also effective.
* Despite this, we had to try harder, focus more on this issue and follow the work done more closely. Hopefully, in the coming period, our top priorities will be efforts to bring our country to a position in line with its goals with a forward-looking vision in the field of civilization and culture.
Erdoğan noted that he pointed out the visions of 2053 and 2071 to young people, saying: “We will not be able to leave the square for those who want to throw our nation in front of the global winds like a canopy sheet peeling off its branch. We will protect our civilization with all its elements from its literature to its architecture, from its humanitarian, religious and intellectual values to its geographical existence. Hopefully this will be our proudest work that we will pass on to the next generations in the next period. “I see the museums we open as modest steps taken within this framework.”
