The president’s decision to extend the application period for reduced hours, which was taken for overriding reasons in the field of periodic situations caused by external effects by the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19), was published in the Official Gazette and entered in force.
In the decision published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the workplaces request reduced work for the period after January 1, 2021 for compelling reasons in the field of periodic situations derived from external effects due to Kovid-19 in the framework of additional article 2 of the Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447 and the principles specified in provisional article 23. It was indicated that the date of June 30, 2020, included in the first paragraph of provisional article 23 of the Law, is will apply as of January 31, 2021, within the framework of the principles specified in Presidential Resolution No. 3238 of November 30, 2020. The short period of assignment for work was February 28, 2021.
