AKP President and Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the opening ceremony of the sixth section of the North Marmara highway with a video conference.
Highlights from Erdogan’s speech:
* The length of the road that we put into service today exceeds 68 kilometers. There was one more section left in the opening of the Autopista del Norte de Mármara, which started in 2016 and continued step by step. I hope that we will complete this last part in the last quarter of next year.
* The cost of the highway that we open today reaches 431 million dollars. Thanks to the connection with the Istanbul-Izmir highway and the TEM highway, we provide fast and comfortable transportation for our citizens.
* These types of structures are works that have become symbols for our country. We follow each stage of these important investments that will shape the future of Istanbul. As a person who has dedicated every moment to work and service since my mayor, I praise every day for bringing such structures to my country.
* Land, air, rail and sea transport are the main developments. If people cannot easily get anywhere in the country, there will be no well-being. We renovate almost all of our existing rail network from scratch. We added metro and tram lines.
“WE ARE READY TO SPEAK UNDER EQUAL CONDITIONS”
* With the implementation of ongoing projects, we will strengthen the effort to make our country the productive and commercial center of the post-epidemic period.
We are a large and powerful infrastructure necessary for the construction of the Turkish finish. Each of our countries has increasingly become the center of national and international attraction for investors.
* The greatest proof of this is that so far we have attracted $ 220 billion in international investment. But we expect a real breakthrough in the next period. As we strengthen the political and economic independence of our country, we begin to overcome the obstacles that we face more easily.
* Of course, it is not easy to change the habits of the years inside and out. They tried to blockade our country using all methods, from the use of terrorist organizations to coup attempts, from political and economic traps to sanctions. Thank goodness they haven’t been successful so far.
* Turkey has never promised to use its sovereign rights in a country that will not hesitate to impose itself. It is open to all who are willing to sit down and talk to us on equal terms and accept fair offers.
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO DISAPPOINT”
* I tell those who are trying to bring our country to its knees with threat, imposition, hypocrisy and tricks; that will continue to disappoint you. We will not stop until we lead the fight we are leading today to victory with the help of Allah and the support of our nation.
* Our greatest strength on this path is the unity, solidarity and brotherhood of our nation. We firmly embrace this climate of brotherhood, which enables us to overcome our many problems.
* Political and social engineering, the product of vicious calculations, has been a high cost for our country in all aspects. The fact that Turkey once again inserts itself into our nation will not allow such mutilation.
* We are willing to compete with everyone in terms of works, services and projects. We believe that no other struggle, controversy or contest will benefit the country.
“2023 WILL BE THE VICTORY OF THE ALLIANCE OF THE REPUBLIC”
* Our 2021 budget has been accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. With the strong solidarity that we have shown as Alianza Popular, we have ensured that the budget process, which we see as a service tool for our country and nation, develops in a healthy way.
* These steps we have taken, I am calling to those who are intertwined with the PKK. 2023 will be a new year of victory for the Popular Alliance. Keeping all the promises we have made to our nation, we will enter 2023 with a great mind.
