The statements made by the Ministry of National Education are as follows:
Within the scope of the measures against the Covid-19 outbreak, our Ministry has made some regulations regarding the distance education process, examinations in schools, and the semester vacation schedule. According to this;
HOW WILL THE CARD QUALIFICATIONS BE GIVEN, WILL EXAMS BE TAKEN?
There will be no exams in elementary schools, grades on the report card will be determined by the participation score in course activities. In middle and high schools, the assessment will be based on one (1) written / application score and performance grades from the first quarter. The examinations of the branches that do not have an exam grade will be carried out in the school environment and in diluted groups according to the measures of social distance / hygiene.
SECONDARY EDUCATION STUDENTS OUTSIDE THE PROVINCE WILL TAKE THE EXAM WHERE THEY ARE THE EXAM
In order to reduce interprovincial mobility, only high school students will be able to take exams in the provinces where they are on that date, provided that their parents request the school administration until Monday, December 28, 2020, if they are in the same type of school.
WHEN WILL DISTANCE EDUCATION CONTINUE?
Distance education in elementary, middle and high schools will continue until Friday, January 22, 2021, when the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year will be completed.
HOW WILL THE CARDS BE DISTRIBUTED?
Beginning January 22, 2021, administrations of educational institutions will plan report card distributions in a way that will not create intensity by being distributed across different days and time zones.
SEMESTER HOLIDAYS WHEN AND HOW DAYS?
The semi-annual vacation period beginning Monday, January 25, 2021 has been added to the one-week break in the second quarter.
WHEN WILL THE SECOND SEMESTER IN SCHOOLS BEGIN?
The second semester of the 2020-2021 academic year will begin on Monday, February 15, 2021.
