There is a payment crisis between the Super League and TFF 1st League clubs and broadcaster Digiturk. The Association of Clubs of the Super League Association and the Association of Football Clubs of the First League announced with a joint statement that they would react to the breach of the broadcaster’s obligations.
Before the Fatih Karagümrük – Galatasaray match, the broadcaster made a statement and stated that they paid for the matches played so far to TFF.
TFF made an announcement after this statement and stated that all required payments were not made.
The Turkish Football Federation made the station’s explanation as follows:
Following the joint public announcement of the Foundation of the Association of Super League Clubs and the Association of Football Clubs of the 1st League, our Federation closely followed the statement made by the Digiturk beIN MEDIA GROUP broadcaster.
We want it to be very clearly known that, even taking into account the amount reached in principle on the price of the broadcasting rights of the 2020/21 season and also in the public opinion, Digiturk beIN MEDIA GROUP has not made all the payments it has to be carried out as provided in the statutes of the 2020/21 season. . Therefore, although an agreement has not yet been reached, the broadcaster’s statement that “Digiturk has paid the broadcast license fee to TFF in full for all games played in the 2020 season / 21 so far “does not reflect the truth.
Highly sensitive issues in terms of all parties are being comprehensively evaluated by our Federation under the Law of the Republic of Turkey and will be shared with the public disclosures required by law.
We present public information with our respect.
