The sixth person from the same family died in Rize within a month due to the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19).
Burak Genç, 24, who lived in Istanbul and died a month ago from Covid-19, was buried in the village of Gürgen in the Güneysu district, his hometown.
Genç’s father, Muhammet Genç (49), who was treated for the same illness, died 4 days later and his body was buried alongside his son.
Bünyamin Genç (36), one of the family members who began treatment after 12 of Burak Genç’s relatives who attended the funeral ceremony, showed signs of Covid-19 and tests were positive, died on 1 December. Father Ali Genç (58), who was treated in the hospital and the news of his son’s death was kept, succumbed to Covid-19 on December 11.
Muhammet Genç’s brother, İbrahim Genç (53), died on December 4 and was buried alongside his brother and nephew.
The young family experienced the last pain due to Covid-19 on December 17. Fatma Duman, who buried her brother Ali Genç, died in the hospital where she was treated at the age of 53.
Fatma Duman’s sister, Aysel Peçe, was said to have been treated in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Istanbul and was in mortal danger.
Fatma Duman’s wife, Muhammet Duman, explained that she felt great pain for putting her 36-year-old partner on the ground.
Expressing that they buried the sixth funeral of their young family in 29 days, Duman said: “I want the vaccination to begin as soon as possible. That our nation is not devastated, that the nests are not destroyed. My little sister-in-law lies with the same disease at the age of 46. We may get the news tonight. ” said.
