Following the defendant Burhan Dalğali’s words in court, Ebubekir Baran took the floor and said: “This is slander. He’s lying, ”he said.
Speaking before the hearing, Ebubekir Baran said: “This man let us down under the name of religion. He threatened to kill me for complaining. I withdrew my complaint due to their threats, but I complained again so that other people would not be victimized. Due to threats from this so-called teacher, I was unable to go to work, I became unemployed, I have not been able to pay the rent on my house for many months. My wife will give birth soon. He made us victims using religion. “
The prosecutor requested the continuation of the detention of the defendant Burhan Dalğali.
The judicial board decided to release Dalğali, taking into account the period he was detained. However, Dalğali will continue to be tried as a prisoner within the scope of the lawsuit filed for “propaganda for a terrorist organization”.
Burhan Dalğali, arrested for the crimes of “fraud for the abuse of his religious beliefs and feelings”, faces a prison sentence of up to 7 years and 3 months.
