13 percent increase for IMM and IETT workers

The second meeting of the IMM Assembly in December was held at the Eurasia Show Center in the framework of the measures of the new type of coronavirus (Kovid -19).

At the meeting chaired by Ömer Faruk Kalaycı, the second vice-president of the Assembly, the salary increases of employees with worker status at IMM and IETT were discussed, who were brought to the judiciary due to authority disputes between the unions.

In the proposal of the IMM Human Rights and Education Directorate in the Agenda report, it was noted that the process against the jurisdiction dispute between the unions is still ongoing and, consequently, it is expected that the new Collective Bargaining Agreement will not be signed in a short time.

APPLICABLE TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT

For this reason, in order to eliminate the complaints of the staff working at the IETT with the Directorate of the IMM, it was requested to make adjustments in salaries until a collective agreement is made.

To be taken into account in the collective bargaining agreement, a 13 percent increase was proposed for the first year, effective as of March 1, 2020. In the second year, workers were asked to increase their daily wages on the 28th. February 2021, with the CPI rate effective as of March 1, 2021.

The increases will be valid until the collective agreement.

The item on the agenda, on which the relevant committees gave a positive opinion, was unanimously accepted by the parliament.

It was also decided in the assembly that overtime be paid to the police and fire personnel above the highest amount.
