The suspect Mehmet Hanifi B., who beat his girlfriend Tuğba Erçakar, was arrested this time for threatening the owner of the house where the assault took place. Ceylan A., the owner of the house, filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Attorney General’s Office, alleging that the suspect threatened him after his release. The suspect, who was arrested again after the criminal complaint, was transferred to the Istanbul Palace of Justice. The suspect, who was taken to the prosecution, was transferred to the criminal magistrate on duty with a request for judicial control. Suspect Mehmet Hanifi B. was released under house arrest by the judge to whom he was taken.
Making a statement in front of the court, Tuğba Erçakar and Ceylan A.’s lawyer, Ayşegül Mermer, said: “The reason the accused was detained this time is not the complaint filed with Tuğba. Following his previous complaint, he is arrested and released under judicial control. However, after Ceylan’s complaint, the suspect was detained again and released by judicial control, while continuing with her violence and actions. Today we have presented some more evidence. We had demands for his arrest. I hope that justice is done, ”he said.
Tuğba Erçakar said he was anxious and said: “Anyway, I couldn’t sleep. After these messages, I am even more concerned. I hope justice is served before I die. I continue to live my life comfortably with my friend. My fears are getting bigger, ”he said.
Ceylan A., who lives in the apartment next to the suspect and filed a criminal complaint against him, said: “Every night he hits the walls, breaks something, calls his friends and says things like he would kill them both. I always go to my lower neighbor out of fear. For example, today I can’t go home because they released him ”.
