In a video message sent to the 60th anniversary program of the Organization for Cooperation and Development (OECD), President Erdogan said:
WE EXHIBIT SOLIDARITY
“In Turkey, the supply of balanced development and economic growth, in line with the objectives of increasing prosperity and employment, we remain an active and supportive cooperation in the OECD.
For 60 years, the organization has proven to be a major player in the global economy with the agreements and contracts it has developed, the best practice examples, the standards it creates, the statistical recommendations and analysis it shares.
The Covid-19 pandemic has shown once again how fragile we are in a world and essentially how interconnected we are.
Turkey is receiving all necessary measures for the health of our people during this period, we have made an effort to disrupt our economic activities. With the Economic Stability Shield and Social Protection Shield packages, we support our entrepreneurs, merchants and disadvantaged groups.
THE OECD MUST LEAD

Despite the conditions of the epidemic, both our public institutions and the private sector continue to increase their investments.
We never neglect international cooperation and solidarity with the awareness of global responsibility. We, like Turkey, have so far provided assistance to 156 countries and 9 international organizations.
I hope that this cooperation and solidarity realized in the event of a crisis will be permanent. As I mentioned at the online G20 Leaders Summit in late November, international cooperation must be carried out by prioritizing refugees and displaced persons with developing countries. I think the OECD should play a leading role in this regard ”.
