According to AA news, the sea overflowed in the Mavişehir district in the Karşıyaka district after the rain that continued at intervals for four days and increased its effect tonight.

While the gardens of the shoreline sites were filled with seawater, vehicles parked in the sites’ parking lot and on the side of the road remained in the water.

The fire departments of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality warned citizens to rescue their vehicles by sounding a siren.

With the sound of the siren, many people ran towards their vehicles and tried to avoid possible damage.

Many people tried to rescue their underwater vehicle with the help of a crane because they could not start it.

Two people wanted

On the other hand, two of the five people traveling in the light commercial vehicle, which got caught in the floodwaters while trying to cross the stream in Menderes district, disappeared.

When the vehicle began to skid in the creek, drivers Engincan Parlatan (20), Ayhan Alistrat and Derya Parlatan (33) managed to survive, while Mehmet Aslan and Soner Uyar were lost.
