Health Minister Fahrettin Koca attended negotiations on the central government’s 2021 budget and the 2019 final account bill.
Minister Koca said that claims that patient guarantees are given in city hospitals are not true and used the following statements:
* The hospitals in our city that we built with resources from the general budget continue in service.
* Bidding processes for 3 hospitals in Samsun, Aydın and Trabzon city have been completed under the general budget and construction work is underway.
* Additionally, we plan to open 1,000 hospitals with 750-bed capacity in Şanlıurfa, Ordu, Denizli, Sakarya, Diyarbakır, Antalya, Rize, and Mardin City Hospitals with 750 beds, each with 1,000 beds, respectively, by 2023.
DISCLOSURE OF KIT CLAIMS
Speaking about the restrictions on COVID-19, Baka Koca said:
* During this period, especially the World Health Organization agrees that the WHO availability kits indicated the 20-point site development kit for Turkey.
* One of them in Turkey. As for the kit, we started buying a kit for $ 8.75. We have located this kit.
* When we located it, we got it for 32 lire. After a month or two, there were companies that received a new compliance.
* It was the period in which a total of 12 kits were produced. We go out to tender. 6 companies participated in the tender. The kit dropped to 9.8 pounds.
* We said: ‘You will reduce the price of the kit from 1.7 million to 9.8 lira.’
“PRODUCTION STARTED FOR PHASE 2”
Speaking about the national coronavirus vaccine studies, Minister Koca said:
* 16 vaccination studies are carried out. One of them successfully completed the preclinical period and began human trials.
* Phase 2 study will begin on December 25th. Production for Phase 2 started 3 days ago.
* Aside from our own vaccination studies, we strive to access vaccines with the world’s proven efficacy and reliability at the earliest stage.
* I hope that we will produce the local vaccine in April.
225 HEALTH EMPLOYEES COMPLAINED
