American TIME magazine announced the “Person of the Year” for 2020. Traditionally by choosing “Person of the Year” each year, TIME chose two people who marked this year’s American elections.
The “Person of the Year”, which has become a tradition since 1927 and is regularly selected each year by the United States-based Time magazine, was announced on the cover of the magazine. In the magazine’s vote for the 2020 Person of the Year, US President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris were chosen.

“Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were named Person of the Year by Time magazine in 2020 because they changed America’s history, demonstrated that empathy was greater than the anger of division, and shared their vision of healing in a sad world.” said Edward Felsenthal, editor-in-chief of Time magazine.
Joe Biden reached 306 delegates, while Trump was left with 232 delegates in the November 3 US election.
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden got 51.3 percent of the vote, with more than 81 million votes. Donald Trump, current president of the United States and Republican presidential candidate, remained at 46.8 percent with more than 74 million votes. Biden will take office on January 20
