Pickpockets moving in an organized manner on the escalators of the Taksim metro stole 2,500 lira from the back pocket of a citizen.

A citizen who came to Istanbul to shop got on the subway and got off at Taksim station after finishing his work.

As the citizen walked up the escalator, the person in front of him deliberately threw his mobile phone on the ground.

The person then slashed the front of the ladder with his body and pretended to pick up his jammed phone.

Meanwhile, the person’s pickpocket stole the 2,500 lire in the back pocket of the citizen who was caught at the exit of the staircase.

Citizens kept walking when his partner picked up the phone. Continuing walking a while, the citizen realized that he had no money in his back pocket.

Notifying the metro authorities of the situation, the citizen saw that his money was stolen from the images of the security cameras. Immediately afterwards, the citizen, who went to the police station, related the incident and complained about the individuals.

The police, who examined the images, began an operation to catch the person they determined.
