Our number of cases continues to increase in Hatay, Adana, Samsun, Antalya, Mersin, and Ordu. Our hospitals and intensive care units are under great strain.
The increase in cases began to decline in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Kocaeli, Konya, Sivas, Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep. This situation was reflected in outpatient consultations, but our high occupancy rates continue in terms of hospitalization and intensive care. Stronger restrictive measures were inevitable.
The implementation of measures that affect daily life, such as reduction of working hours, denial of service in some workplaces and curfews, has become impossible to postpone.
By adding voluntary restrictions to mandatory restrictions, we will be able to lower the transmission rate.
We note that our citizens supported the curfew that began last week. I thank our citizens who have adapted very well. We insist on the implementation of effective protection measures. Because there is still no other known way to get rid of this pandemic.
