In the written statement made by the Ministry, it was noted that the changes made by the Coronavirus Scientific Committee regarding the ‘close contact quarantine period’ led to misinterpretations.
“Updates made by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the European Center for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) in line with scientific studies are instantly followed by our country and integrated into our guidelines.
Regulations on reducing the quarantine period of close contacts from 14 days to 10 days and its termination at the end of the seventh day according to the results of the PCR test were also carried out in parallel with the international updates mentioned above.
