There is no legal basis for the unfounded news in some press and media organs and social media accounts stating that “Turkish ID card, passport and driver’s license, paper and value fees will increase at a high rate, or those who do not renew their documents will be sanctioned before the end of the year. ” Fees for the TC identity card, passport and driver’s license and valuable paper costs are increased at the revaluation rate determined by the Ministry of Finance and Finance at the end of each year. Also, there is no deadline for changing ID cards, and currently used ID cards are valid until replaced by the new generation TC ID card. The deadline to replace old-type driver’s licenses with new-type driver’s licenses is 12/31/2022.
