An operation against the TSK structuring of FETÖ was launched in 50 Izmir-based provinces, with a total of 304 people, 295 of whom were active.
The operation launched by the Izmir Police Department and the Izmir Gendarmerie Command under the coordination of the Izmir Prosecutor General’s Office was reported to be the largest-scale operation against FETO in terms of number and quality of targets.
In the investigation initiated by the Izmir Attorney General against the TAF structure, the members of the organization were determined one by one who were openly accepted as evidence by the 16th Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals and who were in contact with fixed lines with pay / prepayment. Following coordination between the Smyrna Attorney General’s Office with the General Security Directorate of the National Intelligence Organization Directorate General of the TEM Department, a total of 304 people were arrested.
OPERATION GIANT OPERATION IN 50 PROVINCES
Following the arrest decision, teams from the Izmir Police Department and the Izmir Gendarmerie Provincial Command launched a massive operation in 50 provinces. 5 colonel, 1 lieutenant colonel, 1 major, 10 captain, 53 lieutenant, 5 lieutenant, 221 noncommissioned officer, 7 specialist sergeant and 1 air force. It became known that he was the so-called imam and responsible administrator of the soldiers under his command.
295 AIR AND LAND FORCES SOLDIER
Of the 304 people named on the custody list, 111 were reported to work in the Air Force and 193 in the Land Forces Command. It was also known that 295 of the soldiers who were given an arrest warrant were active personnel.
TOTAL 20 THOUSAND 789 DETENTION DECISIONS
A total of 20,789 people have been known to have been detained so far in payroll / prepaid landline investigations conducted to decipher the FETÖ structure at TAF. It was reported that 19,187 of the people who were given an arrest warrant were detained. It was known that 7 thousand 462 of the people who were captured were detained, 10 thousand 111 were released by police agencies with the condition of judicial control.
7,381 people became objectors
7,381 people who were detained were reported to have benefited from effective repentance and provided important information about FETÖ. It was learned that 38 percent of those arrested were confessors.
OPERATION FOR GATA STRUCTURE
The Ankara Attorney General’s Office issued a decision to arrest 37 suspects, 31 of whom are doctors and 6 of whom are privately responsible, in the investigation against GATA personnel, which was found to be organized within the scope of the class private services of FETÖ.
In a written statement made by the Ankara Prosecutor General’s Office, “To the staff of GATA (University of Health Sciences), who found themselves organizing within the scope of FETÖ’s class of private services, the periodic and consecutive calls that FETÖ used public telephones as a communication method between the members of the organization. The suspects, whom they communicated with the system and identified in this way, found themselves in contact with the terrorist organization FETO; A custody order was issued for 37 suspects, 14 of whom were fired, and 37 suspects, 6 of whom were ‘private imams’, as of 12/08/2020.
It was indicated that among the suspects, 1 active, 2 professors, 3 active, 5 associate professors, 5 dismissed, 1 retired, 6 colonels, 5 expelled lieutenants, 1 active major, 2 active captains and 1 expelled chief. It was claimed that the Counter-Terrorism Branch of the Ankara Provincial Security Directorate continued with the procedures for the arrest of the suspects.
