President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the “86th Anniversary Program of Giving Turkish Women the Right to Vote and Be Elected” at the AK Party headquarters.
The highlights of Erdogan’s speech are as follows:
“The AK Party is the party in which women are both the most numerous and the most active in our country. No party has such a characteristic. The current number of members from which our female branches come has reached 5.2 million. We have made a great effort. We continue to support women in all fields, mainly in education and business life, as individuals, as mothers and wives.
We strive to prevent violence against women. We take female victims under the umbrella of state protection. The first man was Hz. Adam and Hz. This truth has not changed since Eve. Our duty is to act in accordance with our nature. The violation of the divine order in any part of the world does not prevent us from defending the truth.

In our society, women were at the forefront of all fields. We say that our nation is a family power, not a patriarchal or matriarchal one. The concept of family is that sensitive and important to us. We believe that the pursuit of rights and freedom is equally valuable to men and women. Regardless of who is the perpetrator and victim of the murder, discrimination is an issue that must be questioned. It is unacceptable for a woman to be considered someone else’s property. It is the duty of the State to ensure that the dignity and dignity of our women are protected, like all of our people. We have to protect our girls who were kidnapped in the mountains by the terrorist organization. It is our duty to protect our girls who are discriminated against because of their beliefs and clothing. Ensuring the protection and empowerment of the family is also a vital responsibility for us. In Turkey, like the environment, like women, like children, constantly talking about issues like the disabled, there are some people who criticize.
