In stating that RTÜK decisions that cannot be made by a single person are open to the judiciary, Şahin used the following statements:

I see with regret that no one insulted our heroic army. One person utters the Turkish Armed Forces in a broadcast that can be seen by all, and the person responsible for the broadcast is almost satisfied with watching it. “No one has the right to insult our army in a broadcast, regardless of its title.”
“No broadcaster is an opponent of RTÜK.”
Stating that “the punishment is not related to the news channel in general, it is related to the program in which the statements of said name are made,” Şahin said.
“RTÜK members and employees fulfill their duties with the authority granted by law. Those who make a mistake when speaking to the experts of our Supreme Council, who work with great devotion, attack the personal rights of my valued colleagues. No company. Broadcasting is an adversary of RTÜK, nor can it be.

Stating that the person who uttered the words subject to punishment on said show was not convicted, Şahin said: “One of the questions I want to ask the names selected on the screens of the broadcasting organization is when will they convict the show and the owner of the insult. “As RTÜK, we will continue to protect our national and spiritual values, especially our military, which is the apple of the eye of our people.”
