According to the statement of the Ankara governorate, 68 dogs, 23 of them of different breeds, were found in the basement of a building in the Keçiören district in unsuitable conditions for the animals.
The animals were handed over to teams from the Keçiören Municipality’s Environmental Protection and Control Directorate.

The dogs were observed at the Keçiören Municipality Animal Shelter. Four of the dogs whose vocal cords were allegedly severed were taken to the Ankara University College of Veterinary Medicine for the condition.
