The Chang’e 5 spacecraft, recently launched by the China National Space Administration, successfully landed on the Moon.
China National Space Administration to collect Moon samples on Nov 24 “Moon God” that means “Chang’e 5” launched the named unmanned spacecraft.
In the statement made by the Space Administration, Chang’e 5 announced that the Moon successfully landed 51.8 degrees west longitude and 43.1 degrees north latitude.
LANDING WAS SUCCESSFUL
The Space Administration indicated that after the successful landing, the necessary controls were carried out and the installation works were carried out.
The administration announced that Chang’e 5 will collect approximately 2 kilograms of rock and soil samples from the lunar surface over the next 2 days.
The spacecraft, which will travel back to Earth, is scheduled to land in Inner Mongolia’s Siziwang Banner autonomous region in China.

If Change’e-5 fulfills its intended mission, China will be the third country to bring back samples from the Moon, after the Soviet Union and the United States, which were the first countries to send spacecraft to the Moon in 1959.
