Teams from the Narcotics Directorate of the Konya Police Department carried out an operation on a vehicle they suspect last night. Some 900 grams of heroin were seized in the operation. Ayşe Dırla (35) and Murat Hanlı (26), who were in the vehicle, were arrested. The suspects were taken to the police and questioned. Ayşe Dırla is the woman Kadir Şeker tried to save from being hit in a park. Murat Hanlı told police that Ayşe Dırla was his ‘marriage magnet wife’.
Şeker intervened in Özgür Duran, who was violent against Dırla during the incident, and Duran died after being stabbed in the heart in the incident. Kadir Şeker was sentenced to 15 years in prison for “deliberate homicide” and the court reduced the sentence to 12.5 years. In his statement, Kadir Şeker said that he had to intervene by saying ‘I could not bear the cry of the woman’, and Ayşe Dırla claimed that she had warned Kadir Şeker, who was trying to intervene, saying ‘My sister, she is my wife, go away’.
