Stating that real nationalism is not condemning the nation to bread and butter, Babacan said: “They always say ‘local and national.’ They try to camouflage every mistake they make with the veil of ‘nationalism’. No, your mistakes are not domestic, they are not national, they are not nationalism at all. True nationalism is ensuring that everyone who lives in this country can hold their heads high. True nationalism is allowing our citizens to rest their heads on the pillow without worrying about the future of their children. “Real nationalism is not about condemning this nation to bread and butter.”

“UNEMPLOYMENT IS AT A RECORD LEVEL”
Stating that unemployment is currently at a record high, Babacan said:
* While 42 percent of the declared wage in our country is the minimum wage, 82 percent is less than double the minimum wage. Approximately 80 percent of the employees have to support their families with an income of less than 5,000 lire a month. Take out three or five rich people that the government understands as prosperity without getting rich. As they got rich, these people became poor. As they got rich, these people began to need social assistance.
* Currently, the unemployment record is at a record high. Whatever we delivered, they blew it. But dear friends, we have reduced unemployment, we will lower it again. Not being able to find work is not the fault of our youth. Nor is it fate. First, we will provide a trusted environment for investments. Where there is no trust, there is no investment.
* In our tradition, there are many measures of confidence in our values, but let’s count the three most important: First, when you speak, you will tell the truth. Second, when you promise, you will. Third, when something is entrusted to you, you will protect that trust like your eyes, you will not betray trust.
* None of these remain in the current government, friends. They cannot give confidence to investors, they cannot give confidence to our youth, unemployment is increasing. I know our teens have dreams, they have brilliant ideas. But an environment of freedom is essential for them to realize these ideas. We will remove one by one the shackles that hit the dreams of young people. We will pave the way for our young entrepreneurs. We will support your innovative ideas. We will increase the qualifications and skills of our youth by making more use of active work programs.
