The incident took place at ‘Barhal Tea House and Local Product Sales Point, which caters to tourism in Altıparmak village, Yusufeli district, around 03:00 on November 25. As Coşkun Enes Delioğlu was sitting in his pension with his friends Semih Kibar and Onur Güntekin, he noticed that a fire had broken out in the tea house, which was owned by the district governorate, about 100 meters away. After calling the fire department, the three teens burst into flames to rescue the items in the two-story teahouse with a wooden upper deck. When the fire intensified, Kibar and Gündekin got out and started waiting for the fire department to arrive.
When his friend didn’t come out, he was in the flames
Meanwhile, Semih Kibar, who saw that Coşkun Enes Delioğlu was not coming out, went back inside to save his friend despite the flames. He supported his friend who was affected by the smoke. As the two friends headed for the door to exit the burning building, when the roof collapsed, the exit paths were blocked. Kibar and Delioğlu, whose head and hands burned significantly, opened the balcony window and escaped into space.
SECOND AND THIRD DEGREE BURNS
Deliogü and Kibar, who were taken by ambulance to Artvin State Hospital with the help of the surrounding people, were treated at the Erzurum City Hospital Burn Center after the first intervention. Deliogü and Kibar, who were lying next to each other in the same room, had second and third degree burns to their hands and head. Two friends who need treatment for a long time support each other. Semih Kibar, whose health condition is better compared to Coşkun Enes Delioğlu, explained the incident as follows:

“We were sitting in the hostel that belongs to our friend Coşkun Enes Delioğlu. There was no one there due to the pandemic. While we wanted to go out and walk, we saw the flames coming out of the tea house about 100 meters from the hostel. It actually belongs to the district governorate, but it was in charge of Coşkun Enes Delioğlu. We immediately went in. But since it was made of wood, the flames rose suddenly. Onur and I got out. When I saw that Coşkun was inside, I went in immediately. As we were about to leave , the suspended ceiling fell and blocked our path. It was like hell inside. Our goal was to save state property. Our wounds are deep, I hope we will heal in no time. “
