Construction of the new AKM continues, the foundation of which was laid by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on February 10, 2019.
The construction of the center, which bears the signature of Murat Tabanlıoğlu, the son of Hayati Tabanlıoğlu, the architect of the first AKM, continues uninterrupted.
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, work at AKM is carried out following the rules of social distance.
GROSS CONSTRUCTION FINISHED
Preliminary construction of AKM, consisting of 5 blocks, has been completed.
Production of the opera stage and opera sphere is also underway and will take place at AKM.
Work on the opera tower, which was built with 15,000 red handcrafted ceramics, has come to an end. The armpit steps of the stage inside the opera were completed.
While 90 percent of the exterior and roof works on the new AKM have been completed, the steel works have also been completed.
Plywood orders were placed for use in AKM. The shipment of engines to be used in the stage system has also begun.
While the 4-story indoor parking lot is being completed, electrical and mechanical work continues on the lower floors.
